Macau to Invest in Maritime Territory
MOSCOW, Russia (August 30, 2013) -- The Primorye gambling zone outside Vladivostok will create some 20,000 jobs for the region's residents and help boost the number of tourists visiting Maritime Territory, the regional administration has said.
On 27 August, in a disclosure statement for the Hong Kong stock exchange, investment companies from Macau announced a deal whereby over $700 million is to be invested in the Maritime Territory gambling zone

Multi State Raffle on Sale
CLEVELAND, Ohio (August 29, 2013) -- Tickets go on sale Sunday, Sept. 8 for a new raffle run by the Ohio Lottery and lotteries in six other states. Colorado Lottery Stands by Decision to Award Contract
DENVER, Colorado (August 28, 2013) -- Colorado's purchasing director Wednesday officially stood by the state lottery's decision to award a $62 million contract to an overseas company, finding the evaluation process was fair and did not violate state law. The Denver Post reports that Scientific Games International, which has the current lottery contract to provide technical and retail network services, accused the evaluation committee of improperly weighting the contract price, as well as how many Colorado employees would be hired, as only 10 percent of the decision-making process. These criteria both benefited Gtech Corp., a U.S. subsidiary of an Italian company with a large share of the global market providing lottery services. Purchasing director Judson Byrn rejected this argument. Scientific Games has 10 days to appeal the decision in Denver District Court.
