Shake-Up By Ministers May Force Health Lottery To Contribute More

LONDON, UK (December 28, 2012) – The Health Lottery could be forced to give more of its proceeds to good causes as part of a New Year shake-up by ministers.
Mrs Miller was reported to have said a review of the law was needed to ensure all lotteries still made raising money for good causes their ‘main priority’.
‘Lotteries are hugely important in raising very large amounts money for charities and community groups up and down the country,’ she said.
‘But with a changing market it is right that we make sure that the main priority for each and every lottery is to raise money for good causes.’
