Punter Lodges Claim Against Bookmaker
VICTORIA, Australia (May 3, 2013) - A punter who claims gambling giant Sportsbet banned him during a lucky streak has launched legal action, a local newspaper reports. Elwood man Robert MacMillan is seeking $35,000 damages over allegations the online book maker stopped him placing some types of exotic bets when he started winning.

 
 

Regulator States Changes Made to Bill Do Not Go Far Enough
CHICAGO, Illinois May 5, 2013) -- The Illinois Gaming Board's chairman says changes made to a proposed gambling expansion bill are merely cosmetic. Illinois Gaming Board Chairman Aaron Jaffe told a local news source that the revamped bill doesn't address his concerns fully. Jaffe and lawmakers argued during a hearing last month over the plan to add five new Illinois casinos. Since then, the Senate has OK'd the bill.
